We have the first meeting of our expert team for the preparation of the Action Plan for the Preparedness of the City of Snina for Climate Change. After the previous online meetings, it was necessary to physically map the individual locations so that we could best define the next steps. In the coming months, we will have anti-flood measures on the Tarnovský brook, revitalization of greenery within the inner blocks of housing estates on Komenského, Kukučínová and 1. Mája streets, implementation of rain gardens, green roofs and thermal insulation of several kindergartens. After the completion of the reconstruction of public lighting RV-07 on Jesenského street we also plan the reconstruction of other parts of public lighting in the city.
The town of Snina belongs to the green towns, in addition, it is situated in the region between the attractive and protected areas of Vihorlat and Poloniny.
